Job summary

LifeLink Foundation, Inc. in Tampa, FL is seeking a Per Diem Tissue Recovery Technician for weekend shifts to support lifesaving tissue recovery operations in operating rooms.

You will apply sterile technique, assist with procurement of donor tissue, and work with leadership to maintain compliance with Tissue Bank Standards.

The role requires a Surgical Technology background or at least one year of aseptic experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology Program or a minimum of one year experience in aseptic technique.
• High School diploma required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the surgical recovery of human tissue for transplantation.
• Thorough knowledge and comprehension of aseptic technique.
• Ability to circulate in an operating room setting.
• Inspect and monitor equipment, supplies and instrumentation used for procurement.
• Observe conditions and report deficiencies to supervisor.
• Assist in preparing sterile work areas and supplies for procurement stages.
• Consult with supervisors on performance of responsibilities.
• Adhere to LifeLink Foundation Tissue Bank Standards and Procedures.
• Perform duties as assigned by Tissue Recovery Leadership.
