Job summary

Frontgrade Technologies in Exeter, NH is seeking a skilled TIG Welder to apply precise tack welds on small aluminum components. You will read blueprints, follow process sheets, and verify dimensions with calipers and height gauges to ensure tight tolerances.

This role requires three years of experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work on the 2nd shift in a collaborative, safety-conscious shop that prioritizes quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years welding experience with TIG on aluminum
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and GD&T requirements
• Experience using precision measurement tools (calipers, height gauges) to verify dimensions
• Detail-oriented with strong quality, accuracy, and repeatability
• Experience working with aluminum and copper materials preferred
• Ability to perform visual and dimensional inspections and document measurements per procedures
• Capable of following detailed process sheets and assembly instructions
• Comfortable working independently and with production, quality, and engineering teams

Responsibilities

• Perform high-precision TIG welding and tack welding on aluminum parts.
• Use measurement tools (calipers, height gauges) to verify dimensions.
• Lay out, fit, and tack parts per blueprint specifications.
• Review and follow process sheets and assembly instructions.
• Collaborate with team members in a professional environment.
• Properly use and maintain PPE and safety practices.
• Follow safety and training requirements related to shop hazards.
