Job summary

Signature Theatre, one of New York’s leading Off-Broadway theatres, is seeking BARTENDERS at The Pershing Square Signature Center on West 42nd Street. We expect the position to begin around August 7th, 2026.

Weekend availability is required, most shifts will take place Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Bartender duties include maintaining health and safety practices, providing top-tier service, handling transactions, and helping with event setups.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in food service/hospitality or bartender experience preferred.
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, and cocktails or willingness to learn.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Familiarity with NYC Department of Health standards a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain health and safety practices and comply with state liquor laws.
• Assess patron needs and make recommendations with excellent service.
• Manage bar area cleanliness and bar equipment.
• Handle cash and card transactions and ensure correct change.
• Work events including openings, galas, and other special occasions.
• Set up and breakdown tasks and restock inventory as needed.
• Work nights and weekends; collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
