Job summary

Barrington Stage Company in Pittsfield, MA is seeking Bartenders to join our Cabaret team for a seasonal on-site role. You will pour wine, beer, pre-made cocktails, coffee and light snacks during 94-seat performances, and you’ll be part of a lively cabaret environment at 36 Linden Street.

The position runs May 30 to Sept 5, 2026, with shifts generally 6:30pm–10pm and a schedule that includes 4–18 hours per week. Compensation is $15 per hour plus tips, with on-site housing not provided.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills across different personalities and ages.
• Experience serving and comfort around alcohol.
• Experience handling cash and credit card transactions.
• Must be able to stand for at least 60 minutes and lift 30 lb.
• Reliable transportation to and from the venue.

Responsibilities

• Serve drinks and snacks to patrons before and after performances.
• Track and complete transactions in Square POS.
• Maintain movement of patrons and orders in the tight pre-show window.
• After performances, clean space, wash glassware, restock, and close out sales with supervisor.
