Job summary

HRI Hospital in Brookline, MA is seeking a Per Diem Switchboard Operator/Receptionist for weekend day and/or evening shifts, with differential pay. You will operate the hospital switchboard, respond to emergency pages, welcome visitors, protect patient confidentiality, and support internal communications.

Requires HS diploma; typing 40 wpm; MS4 preferred; experience with switchboard and office equipment. This position offers a chance to join a caring, multidisciplinary team at a smaller hospital

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
MS4 experience preferred.
Experience operating switchboard, computer, and other office equipment.
Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute; strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Operate the hospital switchboard in a professional, courteous, and effective manner.
Respond to and activate hospital emergency codes and pages in a timely manner.
Welcome visitors to the hospital in a warm, professional and helpful manner.
Protect confidentiality of hospitalized patients.
Facilitate internal hospital communications in a professional and efficient manner.
Perform related clerical duties including typing and copying as assigned by supervisor.
