Job summary

GXO is seeking a Manager, Supply Chain Operations for a Weekend 1st Shift (Fri–Mon, 6:00am–4:00pm) to oversee essential warehousing and logistics functions. You will guide supervisors, hire and develop staff, ensure quality objectives, and drive operational programs to improve efficiency.

The role requires 4+ years of relevant experience, MS Office and scanner proficiency, and flexibility for overtime. A logistics-related Bachelor's degree and 4+ years in a supervisory role are preferred.

Qualifications

• 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and computerized scanner equipment.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule including weekends.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field
• 4 years of managerial/supervisory experience
• Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment
• Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement knowledge and experience
• Experience in warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL)
• Ability to maintain a safe work environment by monitoring and enforcing safety procedures across all departments
• Strong problem-solving techniques and statistical analysis skills

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers, vendors and team members to ensure customer commitments are met
• Demonstrate an understanding of GXO’s quality policies; establish procedures for maintaining quality objectives
• Provide guidance to supervisors with respect to personnel, quality and safety
• Hire, train, develop and appraise staff effectively
• Make recommendations on programs to improve operations
• Handle equipment and coordinate all maintenance needs with the maintenance team
• Ensure records are maintained appropriately and reports are completed in a timely manner
• Adhere to and enforce all safe work practices, ensuring the warehouse is compliant with OSHA and other pertinent standards/regulations
