The Weekend Supervisor is primarily responsible for assisting the Director of Health Services and Assistant Director of Health Services in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the weekend functions of the Nursing Department(s) in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our health campus while ensuring that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

Work Requirements

• Weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
• Twelve (12) hour shifts
• 8am-8:30pm, 9am-9:30pm, or 10am-10:30pm
• Shifts start no earlier than 8am

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the nursing service department and its programs, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Report on department operations and make recommendations as needed.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services for continuity of care.
• Complete nursing assessments, care plans, and MDS assessments for new admissions.
• Ensure accurate documentation of skilled care, medications, and treatments.
• Perform administrative duties, supervise resident care, and participate in survey preparations.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered, and monitor resident responses.
• Notify supervisors and physicians of changes in resident conditions.
• Ensure proper documentation and use of medical equipment.
• Provide direct nursing care as necessary and ensure the facility is tour-ready.

• Proficiency in reading, writing, and following instructions in English.
• Ability to make independent decisions and deal tactfully with various stakeholders.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, laws, and regulations related to long-term care.
