St. Augustine Youth Services (SAYS) is seeking a compassionate Weekday Supervisor for our onsite residential program in Saint Augustine, FL.

The role leads house parents, ensures treatment plan adherence, and maintains a safe, structured home-like environment for youth with mental and behavioral health needs. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED with experience, or a related bachelor’s degree, plus at least 2 years working with at-risk youth.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED and 5 years of experience working with children.
  • OR Bachelor’s degree in related mental health field.
  • Minimum 2 years working with youth who have mental and/or behavioral health challenges (residential preferred).
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License.
  • Clean background consistent with the Affidavit of Good Moral Character.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and supporting Professional Houseparents and staff.
  • Ensuring treatment plans are followed and daily living skills are taught.
  • Maintaining scheduling and coverage at all times.
  • Coordinating staff training and ensuring compliance with Medicaid/state/CARF requirements.
  • Documenting youth progress and reporting to the Program Director.

Location: St. Augustine, FLSchedule: Weekends Thurs-Mon (full-time), Onsite

St. Augustine Youth Services (SAYS) is seeking a compassionate, dedicated Weekday Supervisor to support our residential program serving youth with mental and behavioral health needs. This role provides leadership to House parents, ensures treatment plans are followed, and helps maintain a safe, structured, home-like environment for our residents.

The Weekday Supervisor is responsible for:
  • Working under the direction of the Executive Director and Program Director
  • Following all organizational policies and procedures
  • Maintaining scheduling needs and ensuring adequate coverage at all times
  • Supervising, evaluating, and supporting Professional Houseparents
  • Ensuring staff follow treatment plans and provide daily living skills training
  • Filling in as a Professional Houseparent when needed
  • Reporting incidents, problems, and policy issues to the Program Director
  • Helping meet Medicaid, state, and CARF compliance requirements
  • Coordinating and/or providing staff training (CPI, First Aid/CPR, etc.)
  • Participating in activities that promote education, cultural diversity, and community engagement for the youth
  • Assisting the Program Director with case management for New Directions (Pre-Independent Living) youth
  • Documenting child behavior, progress, and all relevant activities accurately and timely
  • Providing crisis intervention when necessary
  • Reporting maintenance concerns to the Chief Operating Officer
  • Monitoring medication consumption and ensuring correct dosages are available
  • Maintaining QA documentation
  • Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED and 5 years of experience working with children
  • OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related mental health field
Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years working with youth who have mental and/or behavioral health challenges (residential preferred)
Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to work professionally with community partners
  • Ability to communicate concerns regarding child behavior to the treatment team
  • Ability to provide consistent structure and discipline aligned with treatment plans
  • Ability to model professional behavior for staff and youth
  • Ability to create and maintain a home-like atmosphere in the residential setting
  • Ability to supervise and train staff in SAYS policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License
  • Clean background consistent with the Affidavit of Good Moral Character
