Job summary

Corewell Health in Michigan seeks a weekend Speech-Language Pathologist to provide direct care for patients with speech, language, cognitive and swallowing deficits. The role requires working 46 of 52 weekends at Lakeland Medical Center, SJ/NL with Saturdays and Sundays 8:00 am–4:30 pm, plus one summer and one winter holiday weekend.

ASHA-CCC-SLP certification and BLS are required. Join a multidisciplinary team, document thoroughly, and support patients and families in diagnosis and treatment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology.
• ASHA-CCC-SLP certification required.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC required.

Responsibilities

• Promote Lakeland Regional Health System philosophy to ensure quality care and guest relations.
• Evaluates the speech, language, cognitive and/or swallowing status and determines an appropriate Speech-Language Pathology diagnosis.
• Administer appropriate treatment within the scope of practice and departmental guidelines.
• Maintain and complete accurate documentation of patient and departmental records.
• Assure an appropriate continuum of patient care through effective communication procedures.
• Maintain commitment to professional growth and competency.
• Contribute to the efficient and productive operation of the assigned department.
