Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat communication and swallowing disorders across pediatric and adult populations. The role involves conducting diagnostic assessments, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams in a hospital setting.

The position emphasizes evidence-based therapy, patient education, and participation in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology required.
• Current MA Speech Pathology license required.
• ASHA membership preferred (American Speech Hearing Association).

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic evaluations of communication and swallowing disorders in children and adults.
• Provide remedial treatment in individual and group settings.
• Design and implement augmentation methods of communication when needed.
• Maintain patient records and treatment reports.
• Collaborate with physicians, school personnel and related professionals.
