Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division seeks a Steel Kitter for Sumter, SC. Friday–Sunday, 5am–5pm, with hourly rate of 16.00. Position includes a variable incentive program and general guidelines on salary based on skills and experience.

The role involves material handling, cycle counting, shipping/receiving, and Lean initiatives, with 5S standards and safety compliance as core expectations at the Sumter facility.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Must reside within 50 miles of Sumter SC; No relocation Benefits provided.
• Position requires experience in forklift and/or crane operation to transport and locate equipment and materials.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and cranes to transport and locate equipment and materials.
• Receive, document, store, stage and issue all job-related material to satisfy production requirements.
• Support assembly and fabrication requirements for materials as needed.
• Package, create and band equipment, parts, materials, products and accessories to minimize damage during shipment or staging.
• Apply labels, stickers, stencils as required for identification and ease of storage or shipping.
• Exhibit a strong adherence to quality by continually seeking methods of improvement for all functions of the position.
• Receive and carry out work assignments from management and internal customers to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner.
• Comply with safety and industrial hygiene requirements and use of PPE.
• Keep assigned work-area clean and organized per 5S standards.
• Work with team members to complete work assignments and understand customer needs.
• Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve obstacles in production.
• Perform Lean Initiatives by recommending improvements related to quality, work processes, and environmental health and safety.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure peak performance of equipment.
