ManpowerGroup is seeking a Weekend Shift Optics Fabrication Technician in Boulder, CO. The role focuses on fabricating precision optical components from start to finish, including grinding, polishing, blocking, curve generation, and inspections.

It offers a Friday-Sunday shift with a 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM schedule and a temp-to-hire path. You will work with tight tolerances, maintain documentation, and support process improvements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in optics or fabrication preferred; QA/inspection experience a plus.
• Strong reliability and attention to precision.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
• Interest in building a long-term career in optical fabrication or precision manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate precision optical components from initial print through final product.
• Perform beveling, milling, blocking, grinding, polishing, curve generation, and inspections.
• Ensure all work meets customer and quality requirements.
• Conduct detailed measurements and in-process quality checks.
• Follow established procedures and documentation standards.
• Monitor fabrication conditions such as Baume and pH.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Perform advanced blocking and polishing, including single test plate work.
• Maintain tight tolerances and wedge control for high-quality finishes.
• Identify opportunities to improve fabrication steps or workflows.
• Mentor junior technicians and assist with training.
• Take on project or process leadership as skills grow.
• Support additional departmental tasks as needed.
