ResourceMFG is seeking an experienced Optics Fabrication Technician to join a leading manufacturing team in Boulder. Hiring Immediately with pay of $20-$24 per hour and multiple shifts available.

Enjoy weekly pay, competitive benefits, and opportunities for growth in a fast-paced environment. You will bevel, block, grind, and polish optics, read fabrication drawings, and inspect parts using Zygo systems, fringe analysis, microscopes, and surface quality tools.

Qualifications

• Previous optics fabrication experience required.
• Strong blueprint and specification reading skills.
• Experience with precision measurement and inspection equipment.
• Ability to work independently and maintain quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Beveling polished, double, and off-angle asymmetric bevels.
• Blocking pitch button applications and alignment.
• Grinding steep radius and cylinder grinding, tight wedge applications.
• Polishing spindle, CP, double-side, and CNC polishing.
• Slurry maintenance and pH level control.
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings and specifications; complete additional duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

Beveling

• Fabricate polished, double, and off-angle asymmetric bevels

Blocking

• Pitch button applications
• Norland transfer processes
• Steep singles, cold blocking, contacting, and alignment

Grinding

• Steep radius grinding
• Cylinder grinding
• Tight wedge applications
• Continuous grinding operations

Polishing

• Spindle polishing
• CP polishing
• Double-side polishing
• CNC polishing

Slurry Maintenance

• Maintain and measure established Baume and pH levels

Additional Duties

• Pour, cut, and groove pitch laps
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings and specifications
• Perform quality inspections and measurements using:
  • Basic Zygo systems
  • Fringe pattern analysis
  • Microscopes and stereoscopes
  • Surface quality inspection tools
  • Fiber light equipment
• Complete additional duties as assigned
