Job summary

Idaho Materials & Construction, a CRH company, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service ready-mix plant equipment in our Boise, ID operations. This role involves diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and coordinating repairs with plant staff.

Candidates should be able to work weekends, pass background checks, and adhere to safety regulations. Overtime and travel may be required to support plant uptime and efficiency.

• Must be able to work weekends.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Pass a pre-employment "Fit for Work" physical.
• Be able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document.
• Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors and the general public at all times.
• Report to work at the designated start time.
• Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
• Be able to work overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on ready mix plant equipment, including mixers, conveyors, batch systems, and related components.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and implement timely repairs.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify wear, damage, or safety concerns.
• Maintain and repair engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machinery.
• Ensure all equipment operates efficiently to minimize downtime and production disruption.
• Follow all safety protocols and OSHA/MSHA regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair logs, and reporting documentation.
• Collaborate with plant operators, supervisors, and other team members to coordinate repairs and maintenance activities.
• Assist with plant upgrades, installations, and modifications as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
