Job summary

City of Lincoln in Minnesota is seeking a Sheet Metal Fabricator I to perform skilled sheet metal work, read blueprints, and determine fabrication processes. You will fabricate parts, set up materials, and operate press brakes, punch, and shear while maintaining a clean 5S-compliant workspace.

Requires ability to read blueprints and precision tools, plus 2 years of related fabrication experience or an equivalent combination of education and training.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings.
• Experience with precision measuring tools.
• Team player with a can-do attitude.
• 2 years sheet metal fabrication experience or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and machine drawings to determine fabrication requirements.
• Fabricate parts using efficient methods and ensure accurate, aesthetically pleasing finishes.
• Set up, lay out materials, and operate press brakes, punch and shear.
• Maintain workspace in accordance with 5S standards.
• Report maintenance and repair needs for equipment.
• Comply with safety policies and procedures.
