Job summary

Waters Corporation in New Castle, DE seeks a Senior Manager of Manufacturing Engineering to lead a team responsible for developing, improving, and ensuring quality of manufacturing systems and processes for delivering value to customers.

The role drives continuous improvement through Six Sigma, Lean, and TPM, and collaborates with cross-functional partners to optimize operations, budget planning, and capital equipment decisions. On-site leadership is required.

Qualifications

• BA or BS Degree in Engineering or similar discipline with 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing of electro-mechanical equipment

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Manufacturing Engineers.
• Oversee development and optimization of manufacturing processes including assembly, testing, tools, and failure analysis.
• Drive continuous improvement through Six Sigma/Lean/TPM in partnership with business leaders.
• Ensure 100% adherence to all company policies and procedures (Health, Safety, Quality).
• Lead cross-departmental initiatives with finance, operations, supply chain and other stakeholders to identify inefficiencies and improve financial recovery and operational excellence.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities for manufacturing readiness.
• Evaluate and approve engineering requests, determine feasibility, make/buy status, and priorities.
• Prepare and manage departmental budgets; oversee capital equipment acquisition.
• Mentor and coach engineers to collaborate with design, quality, maintenance, and production teams.
