Job summary

Bethesda Senior Living Communities in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a part-time Cook to prepare meals for residents on weekends and weekdays as needed. You will follow recipes, set up kitchens for daily menus, and ensure meals are nutritious, visually appealing, and served on time.

The role requires knowledge of dietary needs for seniors, attention to sanitation, and a team-oriented approach to support residents and staff in a warm, caring environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; culinary training preferred.
• Has appropriate health certification as required by local, state and federal health departments.
• Must be able to read and follow recipes and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Cooks meals according to established recipes and menus.
• Assists Culinary Services Director in creating menus that meet residents' nutritional needs and accommodates residents' food preferences.
• Prepares and presents meals that are pleasing to the eye and palate.
• Maintains clean and sanitary kitchen areas and proper food storage.
