Job summary

Oakmont Senior Living in Santa Monica is seeking a Caregiver for part-time shifts (6 a.m.–2 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays). This role provides personal assistance and daily care to residents, supporting their independence.

You’ll work with a compassionate team, follow care plans, and help with ADLs while upholding safety, dignity, and privacy. Experience is appreciated but training is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience preferred but not necessary; we will train the right candidate.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact with employees, supervisors, physicians, residents and families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• May be required to vaccinate and wear PPE per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents in Activities of Daily Living as per care plans.
• Respond promptly to residents' needs while maintaining dignity and safety.
• Communicate changes in condition to a supervisor immediately.
• Maintain a safe environment by following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with staff.
