Job summary

Cape Regency Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Centerville is seeking a Weekend Security Guard/Smoking Attendant to ensure safety for residents and staff while assisting residents with smoke breaks during the 2p-10p Sat & Sun shift. This part-time role offers weekly pay at $18 per hour.

Responsibilities include rounds, inventory checks, signing in visitors, and assisting with room searches, all while maintaining a safe environment and compassionate resident support.

Qualifications

• Reading and writing English proficiency is required.
• Previous security experience is required.
• Strong observation and situational awareness are essential.
• Ability to follow instructions and take constructive feedback.

Responsibilities

• Conduct an inventory of residents' belongings on admissions and safely store contraband.
• Perform hourly rounds of the facility and grounds; report safety concerns immediately.
• Report and document environmental concerns.
• Assist residents with smoking breaks and provide support if needed.
• Ensure visitors sign in, show ID, and conduct inventory searches.
• Monitor residents at risk and document whereabouts and activities.
• Assist staff with resident room searches as needed.
• May supervise a resident 1:1 for specified periods; maintain safety at all times.
• Maintain a safe smoking environment for residents.
