Job summary

Cape Regency Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is seeking a reliable Weekend Security Guard to ensure the safety of residents, employees and the facility. The role also includes assisting residents with smoke breaks in Centerville, a skilled nursing setting.

This part-time position offers weekly pay at $18 per hour, with a 2p-10p shift on Saturdays and Sundays and opportunities for career advancement.

Qualifications

High school diploma or its equivalent.
Prior security experience required.
Must be able to read, write, and comprehend the English language.
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, to follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticism.

Responsibilities

Conduct hourly rounds of the entire facility and grounds; immediately report safety concerns to the supervisor.
Inventory belongings on all admissions and safely store contraband.
Sign in visitors, verify identification, and conduct inventory searches.
Monitor residents deemed at risk; document whereabouts and activities.
Assist staff with room searches; provide 1:1 supervision as assigned.
Assist residents to and from smoke breaks and ensure a safe smoking environment.
Be present to assist residents who struggle to manage emotions as needed.
