Job summary

The Tremont Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Wareham is hiring a Weekend Smoking Attendant to join our care team. The 8a-4p schedule covers Saturdays and Sundays, with weekly pay at $16 per hour.

Responsibilities include assisting residents with smoking and transport to/from the designated area, maintaining a clean smoking area, ensuring safety, and supporting effective communication to promote a pleasant working environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• On-the-job training provided.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions and deal tactfully with personnel, residents, and visitors.
• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with smoking, lighting materials, and transporting them to and from the designated smoking area
• Maintain a clean designated smoking area for residents
• Transport residents to and from the smoking area, ensuring their safety
• Demonstrate correct safety techniques and respect for facility equipment and supplies
• Contribute to effective communication and pleasant working conditions

Education
