Job summary

Harvard Protection Services is seeking a part-time Security Officer for the Kearny, NJ site. You will provide professional, customer-focused security and life safety services, maintaining a visible presence and enforcing site policies.

The role requires a valid security license or the ability to obtain one, a high school diploma or GED, and reliable transportation. The schedule is Saturday–Sunday, 2pm–10pm, with pay at $17.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• State or municipal security officer licenses required or obtainable within an acceptable period.
• Minimum high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Must have a security guard license or be able to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge and assist customers, employees, visitors, and guests.
• Maintain visible presence in assigned facility.
• Monitor environment for suspicious/unsafe activity.
• Know and enforce facility policies and procedures.
• Conduct required patrols on foot or in vehicle.
• Prepare reports on accidents and incidents as directed.
