Job summary

Central Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Syracuse, NY seeks a Security position to safeguard residents, visitors, and staff. The incumbent will log activities, escort visitors, and assist with door and gate security, while communicating effectively with staff and residents’ families as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid security license per employment.
• Experience greeting and screening visitors per DOH regulations.
• Ability to answer and screen calls and transfer to extensions.

Responsibilities

• Greet and screen all individuals that enter the building per DOH regulations.
• Answer and screen all incoming calls and transfer to the appropriate extensions.
• Act as a resource, giving directions and information to visitors or contacting staff as needed.
• Receive report from security/supervisor on previous shift.
• Log out residents when leaving the facility, ensuring accompanied exit.
• Review the logbook for activities and pass-down information.
• Notify RN managers of lab and x-ray result faxes.
• Prepare chart tags, door tags, and name bracelets when needed.
• Ensure doors and gates are secure at the appropriate times.
• Escort persons off the property.
• Other duties as per the job description.
