Job summary

Per Mar Security Services in Wisconsin is seeking a dependable Security Officer to provide weekend security coverage. You will conduct hourly rounds, monitor for safety concerns, and report issues. Strong de-escalation and clear reporting are essential.

This part-time role requires weekend availability with shifts Friday 4:30 PM–12:30 AM, Saturday 4:30 PM–12:30 AM, and Sunday 9:00 AM–5:00 PM. You will maintain a professional presence and follow site procedures, with uniforms provided and

• Must demonstrate strong de-escalation and conflict-resolution skills; previous experience is preferred.
• Must have strong written communication skills and the ability to complete clear, accurate, and detailed reports.
• Must be dependable, attentive, and professional at all times.
• Must be able to recognize potential security concerns and respond appropriately.
• Must have reliable attendance and be available to work the scheduled shifts every weekend on a consistent basis.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hourly walking rounds throughout the property.
• Look for unauthorized individuals or homeless persons in restricted areas.
• Check doors and windows for security concerns or signs of damage.
• Monitor stairwells for unusual activity, safety hazards, or other concerns.
• Identify burned-out lights or other lighting issues.
• Observe and report unusual, suspicious, or potentially unsafe conditions.
• Use a company-provided phone at the assigned location only to track and document hourly rounds.
• Complete a daily activity report documenting observations, activities, and any issues encountered during the shift.
• Monitor alarm panels for faults or trouble signals and report any concerns promptly.
• Report facility issues, maintenance concerns, and safety hazards to building maintenance or management.
• Maintain a professional and alert presence while on duty and follow all site-specific security procedures.
