Job summary

West Fraser is seeking a Maintenance & Skilled Trades leader to supervise a crew of Millwrights, Electricians and Contractors. The role reports to the Maintenance Superintendent in a full-time, on-site capacity.

The candidate should have 5+ years in industrial maintenance, strong leadership, and experience with safety programs. Prior experience in sawmills or forest products is preferred. Occasional weekend coverage is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of industrial experience.
• Leadership and communication skills are required.
• Two- or four-year degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance crew of Millwrights, Electricians, Welders and Contractors.
• Manage process flow, resources and workforce to meet budgets and objectives.
• Plan non-emergency maintenance and coordinate PM routes.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance during maintenance activities.
• Coordinate training and mentoring for apprentices.
