Job summary

Ace Academy in San Jose, CA is seeking a weekend SAT Reading & Writing Tutor to provide in-person instruction to middle and high school students preparing for the Digital SAT. The role requires strong SAT expertise, clear explanations, and reliable weekend availability.

This part-time, on-site position offers Saturdays 9:00 AM–5:00 PM and Sundays 9:00 AM–12:00 PM, with pay of $30.00–$45.00 per hour. Experience with test-prep companies is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching SAT Reading & Writing to middle and high school students.
• 2+ years of SAT or test-prep tutoring experience.
• Strong English grammar, reading and writing skills.
• Ability to explain concepts clearly and improve student performance.
• Reliable onsite presence and weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Teach in-person SAT Reading & Writing classes and small groups.
• Prepare students for the Digital SAT Reading & Writing sections.
• Cover reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary in context, and test strategies.
• Identify gaps and provide targeted instruction to raise scores.
• Track progress and provide feedback; maintain a structured classroom.
