Job summary

The Marzetti Company is seeking a Weekend Shift Sanitation Associate in Kentucky. This role runs 1st shift on weekends, 5:00am-5:00pm, with an hourly wage of $26.48/hour.

You will clean and sanitize processing equipment, workstations and facilities to meet quality and food-safety standards. Responsibilities include washing and sanitizing equipment, handling cleaning chemicals safely, reading procedures, and following the sanitation schedule.

Qualifications

• Must communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Experience in an industrial environment with sanitizing chemicals and non-toxic food products.
• Mechanical ability; forklift and pallet jack training helpful.
• Ability to read and comprehend instruction sheets provided with cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Washes and sanitizes all processing equipment, pumps, blenders and transfer lines.
• Cleans filling equipment including hoppers, feeders, drop tubes and hoppers.
• Cleans entire processing workstation, floors, walls, conveyors and other surfaces.
• Empties and cleans trash receptacles in production and warehouse areas.
• Washes plastic curtains and cleans production areas.
• Bales residual corrugated and stacks pallets and barrels from previous shifts.
• Follows master sanitation schedule and safety procedures; maintains quality standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
