Job summary

ofi, a global leader in food and beverage ingredients, is seeking a sanitation associate to maintain clean, safe production areas on site. You will breakdown, clean, sanitize, and set up work areas, and may handle roaster cleaning and related tasks.

The role requires working weekends, high-stress environments, and potential use of protective equipment; training includes GMP and HACCP compliance, with comprehensive benefits and on-site support.

Qualifications

• Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma or GED; 1–3 months related experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions; strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Breakdown, clean, sanitize, inspect and set up work areas and equipment for all aspects of the facility and return areas and equipment to production-ready conditions.
• Work in small, confined spaces and at high levels including the roof of the facility.
• Operate light to heavy equipment and a variety of hand and power tools safely.
• Work 10–12 hours on weekends and occasionally on holidays.
• May assist in roaster cleaning and related tasks; may be authorized to use a respirator.
• May be forklift certified for overhead cleaning and moving materials.
• Ensure chemicals are prepared and documentation completed for roaster cleaning duties and other sanitation tasks.
• Work in outside environmental conditions with exposure to fumes, odors, dust, and mists; hazards around moving parts and chemicals.
• Stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, kneel, and lift 40–50 lbs as needed.
• Follow GMP, safety, and HACCP programs.
