Job summary

Ambassador Healthcare at College Park in Fort Myers, FL is seeking a dependable Part-Time RN Supervisor to lead weekend nursing operations. The role focuses on supervising staff, ensuring care quality, and maintaining compliance with nursing protocols during Saturday and Sunday shifts.

You will collaborate with the Director of Nursing, participate in surveys and audits, update care plans, and deliver direct patient care as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Florida RN license.
• Minimum 1 year nursing home experience.
• Strong leadership, clinical and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director and Associate Director of Nursing with daily nursing operations.
• Supervise and support nursing staff, ensuring proper care delivery and adherence to policies.
• Participate in surveys, audits, and regulatory inspections.
• Help develop and update individualized resident care plans.
• Provide evaluations and coaching to LPNs and CNAs; support disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Communicate resident issues with physicians, families, and administrative staff.
• Ensure adequate staffing and manage shift transitions.
• Conduct rounds to monitor care quality and staff performance.
• Respond to and investigate incidents or grievances; ensure timely reporting and documentation.
• Deliver direct patient care as needed, including medication and treatment oversight.
• Complete MDS documentation and collaborate with MDS staff.
• Maintain emergency preparedness, accurate narcotic counts, and up-to-date records.
• Monitor new and readmitted residents to prevent re-hospitalization.
• Support discharge planning in coordination with social services and medical staff.
