Avir at Rusk is seeking a Weekend RN Supervisor to direct and coordinate resident nursing care, in collaboration with the Director of Nursing. The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, staff development, and interdisciplinary coordination.

You will oversee treatments, medications, and nursing services per care plans while supporting team orientation and meetings. The position requires an active Texas RN license, prior long-term care experience is preferred, and the role operates on a weekend

Qualifications

• Current valid unencumbered Texas RN license.
• Experience in long-term care is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Supervisory experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate nursing care for residents under the direction of the Director of Nursing.
• Assist in duties and tasks assigned to the Director of Nursing.
• Ensure treatments, medications, and nursing services follow care plans and physician orders.
• Support orientation and professional development of nursing staff.
• Coordinate nursing team meetings when appropriate.
• Assist with assessment and evaluation of nursing services and staff.
• Support quality assurance activities in nursing services.
• Perform duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
• Maintain compliance with the regulatory program/plan.
• Coordinate services with interdisciplinary team.
• Work 10-hour shifts every Saturday and Sunday.

Weekend RN Supervisor

About the Role

As a Weekend RN Supervisor, you will assist in directing and coordinating the provision of nursing care to residents, consistent with standard nursing practices. You will work closely with the Director of Nursing to participate in the performance of duties and tasks, and contribute to the orientation and professional development of the nursing staff. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to effectively coordinate with the interdisciplinary team and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in directing and coordinating the provision of nursing care to residents consistent with standard nursing practices, at the direction of the Director of Nursing
• Participate in and contribute to the performance of duties/task assigned to the Director of Nursing
• Assist in assuring the provision of treatments, medications, and nursing services according to care plans and physicians' instructions
• Contribute to the orientation and professional development of the nursing staff
• May coordinate nursing team meetings
• May participate in assessment and evaluation of nursing services and nursing staff
• Assist with nursing service quality assessment and assurance functions and activities
• Perform other duties/tasks as assigned by the Director of Nursing
• Maintain compliance with requirements in compliance program/plan
• Coordinate services with interdisciplinary team
• 10 hour shift every Saturday and Sunday

Requirements

• Current valid unencumbered License as a Registered Nurse in Texas
• Experience in a long term care setting is preferred
