Morgan Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Johnston, RI is hiring an RN Weekend Supervisor for part-time weekends. The RN Supervisor coordinates nursing care, provides clinical oversight, and ensures regulatory compliance to support safe, high-quality resident care.

This role requires an active RI or multi-state RN license, BLS, and at least 2 years in nursing. Training is provided for supervision, and strong communication and teamwork are essential for a positive, patient-centered

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN license in RI or multi-state license.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• Ability to manage care for multiple patients in a fast-paced setting.
• Minimum of 2+ years of nursing experience in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing care to ensure safe, effective, timely care.
• Provide clinical oversight and support to nursing staff during shifts.
• Monitor resident conditions and document interventions.
• Ensure compliance with physician orders, care plans, and policies.
• Communicate with physicians, teams, residents, and families about changes in care needs.
• Prioritize care based on clinical urgency across multiple residents.
• Support adherence to nursing regulations, safety standards, and guidelines.
• Promote a positive work environment through teamwork and leadership.

Responsibilities for RN Supervisor:

• Supervise and coordinate nursing care activities to ensure residents receive safe, effective, and timely care.
• Provide clinical oversight and support to nursing staff during assigned shifts.
• Monitor resident conditions and ensure appropriate interventions are implemented and documented.
• Ensure compliance with physician orders, care plans, and facility policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, residents, and family members regarding changes in condition or care needs.
• Assist in managing multiple residents and prioritize care based on clinical urgency.
• Support adherence to all applicable nursing regulations, safety standards, and facility guidelines.
• Promote a positive work environment through teamwork, communication, and professional leadership.

Qualifications for RN Supervisor:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered active RN license in the state of RI or a multi-state license.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• Ability to manage care for multiple patients in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Minimum of 2+ years of nursing experience in a healthcare setting required.
• No previous supervisory experience required; training will be provided.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with staff, residents, families, visitors, and regulatory agencies.
• Strong knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and applicable laws, regulations, and standards in nursing care centers.
