Alexandria Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Weekend RN Supervisor to lead nursing care on weekends and oversee staff while delivering high-quality resident care. The role supports regulatory compliance and patient safety in a 111-bed sub-acute and long-term care setting.

The position is part-time with multiple shift options and includes benefits, shift differentials, and opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered RN license in the state of VA.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• Ability to manage care for multiple patients in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
• Minimum of 2+ years nursing experience in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing care activities to ensure safe, effective care.
• Provide clinical oversight and support to nursing staff during assigned shifts.
• Monitor resident conditions and document interventions.
• Ensure compliance with physician orders, care plans, and facility policies.
• Communicate changes in condition with physicians, residents, and families.
• Manage multiple residents and prioritize care by urgency.
• Support adherence to nursing regulations and facility guidelines.
• Promote a positive work environment through teamwork and leadership.

$38-$60/hour(All Inclusive)

7 AM -3 PM, 3 PM -11PM or 12-hour shifts

Responsibilities for RN Supervisor:

• Supervise and coordinate nursing care activities to ensure residents receive safe, effective, and timely care.
• Provide clinical oversight and support to nursing staff during assigned shifts.
• Monitor resident conditions and ensure appropriate interventions are implemented and documented.
• Ensure compliance with physician orders, care plans, and facility policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, residents, and family members regarding changes in condition or care needs.
• Assist in managing multiple residents and prioritize care based on clinical urgency.
• Support adherence to all applicable nursing regulations, safety standards, and facility guidelines.
• Promote a positive work environment through teamwork, communication, and professional leadership.

Qualifications for RN Supervisor:

• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• Ability to manage care for multiple patients in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Minimum of 2+ years of nursing experience in a healthcare setting required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with staff, residents, families, visitors, and regulatory agencies.
• Strong knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and applicable laws, regulations, and standards in nursing care centers.
