Job summary

Care Initiatives is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for NorthCrest Specialty Care in Waterloo, IA. This full-time weekend package position offers evenings Fri-Sun 2PM-10PM with competitive wages and shift differentials.

Join a compassionate team providing direct nursing care in a 94-bed long-term care community. Licensed RNs must be in good standing with Iowa, hold CPR certification, and be knowledgeable about federal and state long-term care regulations.

Qualifications

RN license valid in Iowa; ability to activate license if needed.
Current CPR Certification required.
Knowledge of long-term care regulations and laws.
Commitment to empathy, respect, patience, and discretion in care.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing setting.
Support daily clinical operations on the unit to ensure quality care and safety.
Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely.
Monitor resident conditions and respond to changes in status.
Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, providers and the inter-disciplinary team to promote high-quality care.
Communicate care needs effectively with residents and families.
Document care in accordance with clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols.
