Job summary
Care Initiatives in Waterloo, IA is hiring a Weekend Package Registered Nurse (RN) to join our compassionate care team. The role offers Full-Time Nights from 6PM to 6AM on Friday through Sunday, with weekend premium pay and competitive wages.
You will provide direct nursing care, support clinical operations, administer medications, monitor residents, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safety and high-quality care for residents.
Qualifications
- RN license in good standing within Iowa.
- Current CPR certification.
- Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations.
- Demonstrated empathy, respect and discretion in care.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
- Support daily clinical operations on the unit and ensure resident safety.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
- Monitor resident conditions and respond to changes promptly.
- Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, providers and the team to ensure quality care.
- Communicate effectively with residents and families about care needs.
- Document care in compliance with standards and regulations.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times.
