Job summary

Carolinas Medical Center is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse for the 6B Med Surg Observation unit in Charlotte, NC. The role supports patients awaiting psychiatric transfer, requires an RN license and BLS, and includes a 7A–7P shift with weekend rotations.

You will work within a tight-knit team, delivering evidence-based nursing care, coordinating with ER partners, hospitalists, and Behavioral Health teams to ensure safe transitions and high-quality patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited nursing program and RN license.
• Active BLS for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association).
• Willingness to work 7A–7P with weekend rotations.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process.
• Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with standards and policies.
