Heritage Wellness & Rehabilitation in Independence, MO is seeking an RN Weekend Supervisor to oversee weekend nursing care and support the nursing team in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting. A minimum of one year in nursing management or supervision is preferred, and dedication to compassionate, safe care is essential.

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri.
• One year of nursing management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or post-acute care experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and make appropriate nursing decisions.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality resident care.

Responsibilities

• Provide and oversee professional nursing care within the RN scope of practice.
• Supervise and support nursing staff to ensure quality resident care.
• Monitor residents and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
• Ensure nursing care is provided according to physician orders, nursing standards, and facility policies and procedures.
• Promote compliance with state and federal regulations and long-term care requirements.
• Follow and promote the facility's infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
• Participate in the facility's Quality Improvement (QAPI) program and help identify opportunities to improve resident care.
• Assist with appropriate placement and monitoring of residents in applicable care programs.
• Communicate resident updates and changes with nursing leadership and other departments.
• Coordinate communication regarding new admissions, discharges, room changes, leaves of absence, and changes in resident condition.
• Provide resident and family education regarding care, treatment, and health needs.
• Help ensure a safe, supportive, and positive environment for residents and staff.
• Serve as a nursing leader and resource for staff during weekend shifts.
