Job summary

Medical Facilities Of America, Inc. seeks an experienced RN House Supervisor for our 120-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center in Roanoke.

The Day shift supervisor oversees the nursing department in the DON’s absence, coordinates staffing, admissions, transfers and discharges, and ensures documentation. Qualified candidates will be a licensed RN with at least 3 years of nursing experience in an acute setting and some supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed RN.
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience in an acute setting.
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing department in the DON’s absence and guide shifts.
• Review staffing at shift change and assign or replace staff.
• Complete patient care rounds and coordinate admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Assist in orientation of evening and night shift staff.
• Supervise and evaluate evening and night shift employees.
