Job summary

MU Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Progressive Care Unit at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, MO. You will assess patient status, implement nursing interventions, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes.

The role requires Missouri RN licensure (or NLC) and at least 1 year of RN experience, with on-site work and rotating shifts including weekends. Sign-on or retention rewards and relocation support are available.

Qualifications

• Missouri Board of Nursing RN license or multi-state RN license (NLC).
• 1 year of RN experience.
• Ability to meet physical demands and work rotating shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient status and develop care plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Assess and reassess pain using 0-10 scale, FLACC, or FACES.
• Educate patients and families about medications and expected effects.
• Evaluate nursing interventions for effectiveness and adjust as needed.
• Maintain nursing care standards and follow hospital policies and procedures.
• Participate in meetings, in-services, and quality improvement activities.
