Job summary

Hartford HealthCare's Backus Hospital is seeking a qualified RN for the LDRP role, with weekend/holiday 7a-7p shifts. You will provide nursing care using the nursing process, build strong nurse-patient relationships, and collaborate with an integrated care team across Eastern Connecticut.

The ideal candidate has a BSN or MSN preference, 1 year RN experience (2+ years in this clinical area preferred), and current CT RN licensure with BLS; ACLS and NRP certifications within specified timelines are

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of nursing. BSN or MSN preferred.
• One (1) year RN experience and/or successful completion of The William W. Backus Hospital Nurse Residency Program. Two (2) or more years experience in this specific clinical area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical competence through utilization of the nursing process and development of a synergistic nurse-patient relationship.
• Assesses and identifies patient problems/needs, establishes a plan of care, implements and evaluates care provided to patients.
