Job summary

Care Initiatives is seeking a Registered Nurse for weekend package shifts in Iowa. The role involves delivering compassionate nursing care in a skilled nursing setting, supporting unit operations, administering medications, and monitoring residents to ensure safety and well-being.

You will collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, and providers, communicate clearly with residents and families, document care per regulatory standards, and uphold infection control and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in good standing, Iowa license active.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.
• Strong commitment to empathy, respect, patience and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
• Support daily clinical operations on the unit, ensuring quality care and resident safety.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
• Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
• Collaborate with CNA, LPN, provider, and other interdisciplinary team members to promote teamwork and high-quality care.
• Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs.
• Document care accurately to meet clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
• Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols at all times.
