Job summary

The ideal candidate has a nursing degree, current PA RN licensure, BLS certification, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Nursing program.
• Knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice.
• Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in the delivery of patient care.
• Successful completion of additional orientation programs related to specialty.
• Attainment and maintenance of unit-specific competencies.
• Basic computer skills.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania
• Upon Hire RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_PA - State of Pennsylvania

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the care for designated patients.
• Recognizes the need for and initiates collaboration with physicians, interdisciplinary team members to meet patient needs.
• Synthesizes data to make decisions that optimize patient outcomes based on nursing standards.
• Demonstrates commitment to quality and safety per policies and evidence-based practice.
• Provides patient and family education throughout treatment.
• Participates in performance improvement and patient experience goals.
• Functions as a department team member to support unit and hospital goals.
• Mentors new colleagues and assists with precepting as assigned.
