Job summary

The Savoy at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join a skilled nursing team focusing on geriatric care. The RT must hold a COARC-accredited AS or BS in Respiratory Therapy and be licensed as an RRT or CRT in Florida, with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state of practice.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory therapies for geriatric patients in a skilled nursing setting.
• Initiate therapies, document patient records, operate and maintain equipment.
• Perform bedside treatments and participate in staff in-services quarterly.
• Maintain daily, weekly and monthly documentation; attend IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheostomy and long-term care settings.
