Job summary

CareRite Centers, LLC in Boca Raton, FL, is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team. The RT will assess residents, initiate therapies, and perform bedside treatments to support geriatric patients’ respiratory health.

Candidates must be licensed in the state (RRT/CRT) and hold BLS certification. The role requires independent work, documentation, and participation in care planning with IDT members.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT in the practicing state.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Conducts assessments and applies respiratory techniques to rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Performs bedside treatments including oxygen therapy and weaning.
• Administer aerosol, PEP therapy, chest physiotherapy, and suctioning.
• Support airway management and CPR if needed; perform pulmonary testing.
• Participate in IDT meetings and complete daily/weekly/monthly documentation.

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
  • Oxygen therapy
  • Oxygen weaning
  • Aerosol therapy
  • PEP therapy
  • Deep breathing and coughing
  • Respiratory muscle training
  • Incentive Spirometry
  • Chest physiotherapy
  • Oro/Naso-pharyngeal suctioning
  • Tracheo-bronchial suctioning and tracheostomy care
  • Airway management/assessment
  • Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation
  • Pulmonary function testing
  • High-flow oxygen
  • 6- and 2-minute walk testing
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
