Job summary

Nashville Center For Rehabilitation and Healing in Nashville, TN is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team. You will evaluate and treat residents with respiratory conditions, independently, with a passion for geriatric care.

The role requires COARC-accredited education and state licensure (RRT or CRT) plus BLS. Responsibilities include initiating therapies, documentation, patient education, and participation in IDT meetings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program. Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Reviews residents' respiratory conditions and conducts therapies per physician orders.
• Initiates therapies, maintains records, and operates equipment.
• Performs diverse bedside treatments for residents.
• Delivers quarterly in-services to nursing staff.
• Maintains daily to monthly documentation.
• Attends IDT meetings.
• Demonstrates tracheostomy care experience.
• Gains experience in long-term care settings.
• Follows facility policies and procedures.
• Performs tracking, auditing, and caseload management.
