Glengariff Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Williston Park, NY is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our geriatric care team. The ideal candidate will hold a state license (RRT or CRT) and be able to evaluate and treat independently, with experience in long-term care.

This weekend-fronted schedule requires coverage every Saturday and Sunday, 4-8 hours depending on caseload. Responsibilities include bedside treatments, initiating therapies, maintaining records,

Formación

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program. Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing BLS certification.

Responsabilidades

• Completes assessments and implements Respiratory technique to maintain or rehab patient with many different Respiratory illness/diseases.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required
