Job summary

Nashville Center For Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team. The candidate should hold COARC-accredited credentials and state licensure (RRT/CRT) with BLS certification, able to evaluate and treat independently, and dedicated to geriatric care.

The role involves performing respiratory interventions, bedside treatments, and documentation, plus participation in IDT meetings; prior tracheotomy experience is a plus and adherence to

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments and implement respiratory therapies for rehab patients with varied respiratory and non-respiratory conditions.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and check equipment.
• Complete bedside treatments and in-services for nursing staff quarterly.
• Maintain daily, weekly and monthly documentation and participate in IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy and long-term care settings; follow facility procedures.
• Perform pulmonary function testing, CPAP/BIPAP, oxygen weaning and airway clearance therapies.
