Job summary

The Grove at Valhalla Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our skilled nursing team. The RT must hold state licensure, evaluate and treat residents independently, and contribute to therapeutic activities for geriatric patients.

Responsibilities include assessments, initiating therapies, documentation, and collaborative care through IDT meetings. Experience with tracheotomy and long-term care settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques for various illnesses.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Perform bedside respiratory treatments as part of patient care.
• Conduct in-services for nursing staff on a quarterly basis.
