Job summary

The Phoenix Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join a dynamic team in a skilled nursing facility. The role requires licensure in the state of practice, independent evaluation and treatment, and active participation in residents’ functional respiratory therapy plans.

Key responsibilities include bedside treatments, initiating therapies, maintaining records, and contributing to quarterly in-services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state where practicing.
• BLS certification is current.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory techniques for patients with various respiratory illnesses.
• Initiate therapies, maintain records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Perform bedside treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Complete in-services for nursing staff quarterly.
• Maintain daily, weekly and monthly documentation.
• Attend applicable IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy care.
• Experience in a long-term care setting.
• Follow facility procedures and protocols.
• Perform tracking, auditing and caseload management.
• Carry out related duties as required.
