Job summary

The Grove at Valhalla Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team. The role focuses on geriatric care with independence in evaluating and treating residents and maintaining clinical documentation.

Requirements include an approved COARC respiratory program (AS or BS) and active licensure as RRT or CRT in the practicing state, plus BLS certification. Weekend coverage is required for Saturdays and Sundays.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program and licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to care for patients with various respiratory illnesses.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments and in-services for nursing staff quarterly.
• Attend applicable IDT meetings and perform caseload management and documentation.
