Job summary

Accolade Healthcare is seeking a weekend Respiratory Therapist to assess, monitor, and intervene in patient respiratory care. The role requires independent work, collaboration with a medical team, and contribution to reducing avoidable readmissions.

Qualified candidates hold CRT or RRT credentials, an Illinois license, CPR, and prefer ACLS. Prior long-term care or home health experience is a plus; this on-site position offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Active CRT or RRT credentials.
• Active license in good standing with Illinois DFPR.
• CPR certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred.
• Experience as a Respiratory Therapist in Home Health, LTACH, or sub-acute setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient evaluation.
• Provide thorough medical record evaluation.
• Treat residents to maintain or attain the highest level of respiratory function.
• Manage and wean supplemental oxygen.
• Manage and wean trachs.
• Assist with pulmonary rehab modalities.
• Operate respiratory care equipment safely.
• Educate residents or caregivers on respiratory care.
• Assist nursing staff when required.
• All other duties as assigned.
